Damage Itemization

Damage charges with the evidence attached.

When a rental comes back damaged, staff photograph it, describe it and add a damage charge in the return wizard. The charge needs a return photo, anything above the deposit needs a manager, and the customer is emailed the amount and the reason.

How it works

Three steps, start to finish.

01

Document it

In the return wizard, describe the damage and upload photos taken with the phone camera.

02

Charge it

Add the damage amount alongside any late, fuel or cleaning charge. A damage charge needs at least one return photo, and one above the deposit needs a manager.

03

Tell the customer

The customer gets an email with the amount and the reason, and can reply within seven days to dispute it.

Capabilities

The details your team works with.

Disputes and voids

Staff record a dispute on the charge, and only a manager can void it.

Collect it your way

Take the charge by card with the customer present, cash, check, bank transfer or ACH, or capture all or part of the deposit hold with a reason.

On the booking’s history

The charge, any dispute, void and collection are written to the booking’s activity history.
