We’ve looked at a lot of rate plans across our own stores and the operators we work with. Five patterns repeatedly outperform.
The Tiered Day. Daily / weekly / monthly with a multi-day discount. Boring on paper. Captures 80% of demand. Don’t skip it.
The Shoulder Hour. Hourly minimum with a built-in shoulder discount for 4-7am pickups. Wakes up a segment that the daily-only pricing pushes to a competitor.
The Season Stack. Three-tier seasonal pricing (peak, shoulder, off-season) with a defined transition date. Pre-booked in the off-season at 60-70% of peak.
The Add-On Pyramid. Free pickup, paid delivery, paid premium delivery. Customers self-segment. Pure margin on the upper tiers.
The Multi-Unit Discount. 2nd unit gets 15% off, 3rd unit 20%. Capture group bookings without giving away the first unit.
